Transmission leak
2000 f150 2wd. Drained and replaced trans fluid and filter few years ago and used the cork gasket in the filter kit. It leaked. Replaced it with another cork gasket and used silicone that time. Still leaked. Replaced 2nd gasket with the reusable oem gasket. Its leaking. Bolts have been torqued to whatever the manual says. What can I do about this

If you are sure it is the pan leaking my guess is the pan is bent.
Take a straight edge and check the mating surface, straighten any low/high spots. good luck |
Sometimes the seals from the shifter shaft and other attached pieces can leak and run along the pan giving false impressions.

I cant imagine it being bent. Not like I have abuse it. And shifter shaft is not leaking. It's dry around it

take sandpaper and ruff up the area for the gasket on a flat surface...get a gasket from ford it doesn't need prematex it had ridges in it and it reuseable
|
the cork gaskets will soak up fluid and leak

I've had the o-ring on the fill/dip stick go back on one.
|
I know that you have prob already done this but double checking the obvious. Make sure that you have scraped all of the old gasket and permatex off the pan as well as the case. an old fashioned scaping can prevent alot of probs

I haven't been able to go look, but I had to tighten up the fitting for the cooler line not long ago. Gotta do that, probly time to replace it

Update
With the weather permitting got a little more accomplished. It is dry around the cooler lines. Took a hammer and punch and went along the edge of the pan, cleaned it up foe a test drive. Looked like it was leaking around the speed sense so the orings got replaced. Just did that 2 days ago. So cleaned it up again and have to wait for another good day of weather. If it isn't the orings the next thing is going to be the tailshaft housing gasket
