1989 f350 4x4 sloppy steering column

Seems like the lower bearing is shot: the part that connects to the steering shaft wiggles around like there's no tomorrow. I have something sloppy in my ignition too, but that's probably another thread. Anyway...

I'm going to the pick and pull tomorrow morning to look for another column. I was planning on pulling one from a truck and replacing its bearings, on account of the fact that they're probably on their way out, but I understand that there might be some interchangeability with car models. What I'd like to learn is this:

-are there any Ford cars that used the same steering column as my 1989 f350 4x4? I have tilt, cruise control and a 5 speed manual. My searches have yielded information on later truck models, but nothing on my year.

Thanks in advance, Mike.

If you had a 1992+ model, you'd have hit the jackpot..

Crown Vic's, etc can interchange...

But for 8th gen trucks....I have no clue.

update:
I went to the jy, and found a decent condition column from a 1989 f250. it's a column shift, no tilt, no cruise control type. Will that work with my truck that has tilt and cruise control? I don't need/ want to keep the cc or tilt.
If you folks give me the go 'head, I'm swapping the ignition cylinders tomorrow and hopefully I'll be ready to roll.
Thanks, Mike

don't see why it wouldn't work you just wont be using the column shift mechanisim

that's what i was thinking when i decided to pull it.
the other thing with this jy column is that it didn't come with a key. but the tumbler spins and actuates the ignition switch rod. will i have trouble getting the tumbler out? or will i have to drill the retaining pin?
i'm going to be working on this tonight as soon as i get off work, so i guess i'll find out soon enough. it's just nice to be prepared.
