Expedition brake controller for Navigator?

I just brought home my '13 Navigator. Could not get an Expedition with the options I wanted so opted for the Navigator. I was VERY disappointed to fnd out the Navi did not come with an integrated brake controller. Does anyone know if it would be possible to remove the ashtray and cig lighter and install the brake controller from a '13 Expedition? Would it plug into existing wiring? If it was done, would the factory computer setup for gain work? I like having the controller close so I can reach it and there is no way I am drilling holes into the dash panel of my new truck. I am also 6'5" so any of the normal spots to install end up banging my knee or shin. One alternative is removing the ash tray and jamming my existing controller into the hole. It would work but I would research removing the panel under the ash tray to see if I can get it to settle in further. I have a Prodigy P2.

Great question! I just brought home my (used) 13' Navigator today. I would like to add the trailer brake as well. How did you handle it.

Apparently he handled it without any help from anyone here....he asked two years ago and nobody responded.
