2013 Knee-deep BS thread!

Here it is, beat Don to it!
We had a GREAT 2012 BS thread, we can do even better this year!
As Don would say, "Let the BS flow!"

fabmandelux 12-31-2012 07:36 PM

Ya, ya beat me to it.........But we passed Knee deep a looooong time ago.............lol

Old93junk 12-31-2012 07:39 PM

Yeah, I had to assume temporary command...........I thought you went AWOL on us.

fabmandelux 12-31-2012 07:40 PM

Care to elaborate?
I stayed home and spent $0 dollars!

fabmandelux 12-31-2012 07:45 PM

I went with Mike to RDO and looked at at a two year old John Deere combine for him. He bought it for $182,000 and bought a 4 wheel drive conversion for $12,000 that he's going to pay me to install.....

Old93junk 12-31-2012 07:47 PM

$182,000?!! used?!
Good God!, I think my computer just fainted.

Sooo, what did the frog say when the spider asked him how deep the water is?

The frog replied in a low frog kinda voice "knee-deep"

Thought the thread title was appropriate.

He wants me to go to Montana next month with him to look at a new 60 foot Air Seeder. Only $240,000! Not cheap being a farmer........

Old93junk 12-31-2012 07:58 PM

That kinda money would have "bought the farm" not too long ago.........not just individual pieces of equipment.

fabmandelux 12-31-2012 08:03 PM

Most wheat farms around here spend more than $250,000 just in diesel a year. Another $200,000 on chemicals. I could go on.........

Old93junk 12-31-2012 08:07 PM

No need, Don.
The amount of money farmers need to hemorrhage just to stay in business is appalling.
I am a "timber owner" now, maybe I will cash some in, since it's my crop!

fabmandelux 12-31-2012 08:09 PM

And you'll still have to pay "stumpage fees" to the state. For cutting your own trees...........

Whoops, maybe it will have to become a "nature preserve" and they can pay ME!

fabmandelux 12-31-2012 08:24 PM

Sure. As long as you don't mind all the "folks" coming over from pewgene to take in all the Nature. Then if you even fart there, you'll have DEQ and EPA both trying to do a rectal exam on your whole life.........lol
