Leather driver's seat cover replacement 04 F250

I did this project over the weekend. When I bought the truck it had a hole worn in the top of the entry side seat bolster and the leather around the "Lariat" emblem in the seat back was basically deteriorated to the point of falling apart.

I ordered the top and bottom replacement leather kit off Ebay from a company called The Seat Shop. The quality of the kit seems oem or better and it basically a dead on match on color. They provide some excellent install videos so I will leave those to anyone who needs more detail. It took me about 5 hours start to finish and I have never done anything like this before. The only thing I would add to their videos is to say not all hog ring pliers will work with the hog rings in this kit. The pliers stocked at my local Lowe's and Home Depot would not close the hog rings enough to work. I ended up using my Klein needle nose pliers to do the job. You are gonna need to use some pressure to hold the hog ring straight while you are positioning them around the cable stays.

I have not cleaned the rest of the leather seating yet and already its a pretty solid match on color. Waiting for a nicer day.

I am not associated with this seller or EBAY in any way, but , if you are interested, this might save you some time searching:

2000 Ford F250 350 Med Parchment Leather Seat Cover Bottom Top LH | eBay

There is a selector that lets you pick your year and trim level, etc.

Very nice job! I have been considering leather seats I have a hole worn only cloth ones.

That's the people. Really nice guys. I had my note to add the "Lariat" stitching on the top on PayPal payment screen and they missed it but I called the day I got the shipment order and they grabbed it before FedEx got there and sewed in the correct panel and still got it on the truck that day. I had it in my hands in 3 days.

FYI the "Lariat" stitching part adds $50 to the price. They use an outside shop for it and pass that shop's fee on with no upcharge. If you are doing both front seats you can save yourself $100 and opt for no logo. I was not doing the passenger seat and wanted them to match so I popped for it. Plus this is money spent in the USA start to finish which makes me happy too.

This project kinda green-lighted me doing a full leather swap on my wagon too. I am kinda looking forward to it now its such a big payback. And if you are doing the full swap I think you are probably getting better overall value. I am gonna go with a Katzkin kit on that one I think.

That turned out nice, good job.

Oh and one last thing, the oem Ford top and bottom replacement leather covers were quoted to me from a discount Ford parts seller at 985 for the pair plus shipping for reference. And get your own hog rings for icing.

Thanks bro - oh and one more piece of advice. I used to watch West Coast Customs a lot and Ish the upholstery guy on there used kinda squeeze and slap the leather around to get it to settle into the right spot on the cushions. Do this - it helps a lot.

Yes. Check the link posted above and use the selector guide or call the seller for additional info.

I just installed the arm rest cover on my drivers seat last week. Worked great and looks good. When my bottom seat cover finally tears I am going to replace it too. Color and fit is great.

I am really pleased with the match. I gotta do something about the steering wheel now.

You could buy a brand new steering wheel.
