engine swap

I'm thinkin of swapping my 239 for a 292 my question is will my 1954 4 spd and bellhousing work with a 1964 292 3spd? I assume it will but we all know what assuming does! lol Thanks Julie

While the bellhousing will swap between the engines, it will not swap between the transmissions. You will need a 3 speed bellhousing to use a 3 speed.
