Coastal Swap Meet
So who's all going to the coastal swap meet ?

Coastal Swap Meet
Maybe. There's a chance I can make a delivery along the way and get the ferry from the Island paid for.
I'd like to find a '57 Ford or Merc grille, '57 to '60 panel truck taillights, and windshield. A set of flywheel, bellhousing, clutch, and 4 speed or O/D to fit a 351W or 28oz SBF would be useful. As would a 351W manifold, 4-barrel, and headers, and finally a big air compressor pump to belt up to a 5 HP motor. |
Coastal Swap Meet
Well I thought the swap meet was great, I found a new home for some of my stuff, made a little money and found some more mercury letters and hub caps. Angus did you make it over? Eric

Coastal Swap Meet
Yes, I did. Got the first ferry, dropped off a big steel cabinet in Vancouver (paying for my trip), and headed East. I passed up a flywheel and clutch combo that might have worked, got a big heavy compressor pump which, after I measured the bore and stroke, turned out to only do 6 CFM. @#%$ Still, I picked up a (hopefully fixable) broken MSD 6A ignition for $15, a Sony CD deck with speakers for $20, and a new Grover dual air horn with valves for $15 (that'll go nicely with the 24" Grover horn I got at another swap). I saw a '57 Ford grille, but it didn't come with headlight doors or the lower grille panel, so it didn't come home with me.
It was a much bigger swap meet than the last time I went; I barely made it all the way around outside before the rains started. Saw a nice-looking cheap Ranchero that didn't sell, and some wild cars and trucks in the parking lot (like a rear-wheel drive, stretched Rabbit, and a diesel 6x6). Maybe next year I"ll make another pilgrimage to Portland. |
