Old post but haven't seen any others about the 1.0L Ecoboost. Recently bought a used Fiesta SFE with the 1.0L 3 cylinder Ecoboost with 3000 miles on it. Have about 7000 miles on it now and we are very pleased with it. I had a new 2011 Fiesta 5 speed for about a year (in between trucks) and enjoyed it as well. I'm not a small car guy and neither is my wife ('06 Ram 2500 Mega Cab 5.9 Cummins) but we decided to buy this as a third vehicle for long distance fuel mileage and to have when working on the trucks. It never ceases to amaze me how quick this car is with such a small engine. The turbo could fit in one hand it is so tiny. Even with my wife driving it like she stole it, we still see 40mpg. I've seen 53mpg on the highway. So far a great little engine and fun to drive.

Finally, some real experience. A fuel sipping power house. :-X22

Thanks for the real world report, Felix! Engines like this are the future for daily driver cars and it's such a cool little package. I'd love an engine like this in a toy sports car the size of a Miata or something.
