West coast mirrors

Anyone have some shots of their westcoast mirrors? I'm going to change out the huge tri-pods on my truck and may go with westcoasts. Does anyone know what westcoast mirrors would be original?

I've got a set of stainless & aluminum ones in good shape your welcome to em' if you wanna pay the post on em' i'm near ottawa.
however you should check the proper repop mirrors out "vintique" makes em
way classy & they come with the brackets that use existing holes in doors, it's what i'm running on my 58 panel.

Economan, do you have any photos of them mounted on a Fridge? You would have to drill the doors to mount them, true?

At one time I thought I would install a set, but I wanted the smaller " West Coast Jr." mirrors, that were scaled more appropriately, in my opinion.

You should be able to get some ideas off eBay.

eeeaaah......mmmm
i got an old pic of my 58 back in 88 don't have a scanner to put it into the computer.
they're definately period pieces. they were on the original 58 when i bought it so the holes were already on them doors. the alberta doors that i'm currently using on my 58 panel never had holes drilled for mirrors. \

My truck is a 4x4 and is also a crew so I think the smaller mirrors I see on a lot of these trucks might look out of place. The western jr. looks like a good fit. Economan, do you have a pic of your west coasts?

economan, I've had good luck just setting an old photo down on my kitchen table and taking a picture of it. I would also like to see what they looked like. I have some old brackets on my doors and some holes from them also. I like West Coast mirrors and it would be easier than welding up all the holes.

I have the full size west coast mirrors on two trucks:

If you do not want such massive mirrors (although I had the big west coast mirrors on an F100 once, added about 30 inches to the width of the truck) you might look into the west coast juniors, just one loop arm that attaches to brackets bolted to the door above and below the window. Mirror size is about 5" x 10" instead of 7" x 16".

I think Nick's style is what I'm looking for...https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...na-beauty.html

ya!
mine are like nicks, but a little more nicely finished & detailed rounded corners on the mirror heads and kinda a corrigated embossed pattern on back.

Here's a couple of pics of the Western Jr mirror on my 59 f100 4x4. Sad to say but I'm missing the passenger side mirror. Not sure if this is original, trying to get educated on this. Mine looks to have a "fluted" aluminum mirror housing.

Mirror size is 6" x 10-1/2". Someone riveted the mirror onto the door and I need learn how they are correctly installed. Funny but out of the hundreds of things that need attiontion on my rig, the mirrors are at the top of my list.:D Thanks for putting this post up.:-drink
