fine tuning edelbrock/carter

been working on tuning my engine as good as i can, running a 351 bored .030, decked to .004, flat tops, running about 9.5:1 cr, world product ported 210 cc heads, 35-600-4 thumpr cam, steel roller rockers, bottom end balanced, among the regular other goodies that come with building this type of engine. the carb is a 625 carter afb that i rebuilt, and cleaned up internally (filed away all the rough casting) runs great for the most part, and im slowly learning as a younger guy on how to work with carbs (mainly efi guy) so im wondering if anyone can lead me in the right direction on properly tuning it, what to look for and what to look out for, as well as maybe re-calibrating it for the best possible outcome. the engine is almost new (broke in the cam and thats all, so far 0 kms to log)

In addition to the nice article 460me posted, here are a couple more helpful articles. They require a yearly membership but it's well worth it.

If you can swing it, I definitely reccomend getting a wideband O2 gauge. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of "fine tuning" a carb.
