Update: I received a quote on getting the speaker bracket and radio support bracket reproduced a per the original. The initial cost isn't bad and the first run will be limited to 25 pieces. I'd like to know if there'd be interest from FTE members for these parts before I place the order. I'd prefer to have several or at least half preorders. It would about 1-2 weeks to get a run of 25 made. The new kit will also come with a copy of the instructions.

Since selling is not permitted in this forum, please PM or email me, and I'll provide you with the cost and take your pre-order.

Thanks!

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the speaker bracket will allow you to install a 6x9 speaker in the stock location even if you are not using the original radio.

Ilya, does this clear the electric wiper motor? If so, I'd like one. :)

EDIT: I tried to PM you but it says your storage is full.

An original is listed on ebay under 1952 ford truck for $70 . Ilya any idea how this price would compare to your repros?

51PanelMan 08-06-2014 12:29 PM

Price will be around $50 plus shipping for FTE members and slightly more on eBay to help offset their fees. My kit will be complete with a copy of the instructions.

Hopting to get this done around September.

As of 1:30 sun. bid is at @127.50 . Yikes !

firstrider 08-12-2014 05:17 PM

Auction ended at $150.00 WOW !!!

51PanelMan 08-12-2014 05:21 PM

As long as the estimated production cost remains as per the quote I received, my retail price will be cheaper.

An update on this... I've been very busy. Just recently dropped it off about a week ago at the shop. They've also been busy with other production work. I should have them in my hands in December.

Did you ever proceed with the radio adapter kit? If so could you contact me? I need a kit like this but I am so inept with this computer stuff! M-1 Mercury Guy

UPDATE!!

Just went by the shop. Production has started. I was given a completion date of February 12 or 13. So, hoping to have them in my hands in a few weeks.

FINALLY!!! They're in my hands. The final production cost was slightly higher, which will result in a modified purchase price cost, but not by much.

I'll start the process of contacting those that expressed interest. If I accidentally miss a contact, please follow up with me.

Thanks.
