Long Time coming!!

Well after moving away from my truck and being quite busy with the new job my vacation finally came!! I used most of my vacation to go back to MN and work on the truck. Goal of the weekend.. Get it to roll and run. Mission accomplished! My father in-law was nice enough to find me a new rear axle out of a 1978 F250. All we had to do was Torch the old leaf perches off and weld the new ones on. Good think he is a mechanic, and there to help me out. I have pictures in my Album of the old axle and the new one now in. Now we got to the engine which I have never had running in the two years I have owned it Just because It needed a new battery minimum and I didn't see the point to get it running when the rear tire would fall of in the First two feet of movement.. We got the new battery and still wouldn't turn over. got to looking at the ground and figured out that the wire had came out of the clamp. So new battery and New cables and little gas in the Carb! Alive!! Runs like a champ!! To bad we had to order the universal joint for the axle and it came in the day I had to head back to Virginia. We got in in the truck went for a quick trip down the street and was able to DRIVE it back to its resting place!! So mission accomplished. However it is driving me crazy not to be able to be working on it. Here is a video of it running.. maybe.. Still got some of that young blood in me I think it is to quiet and needs some dual exhaust!! But first I am still looking for an Box. Mine is the 118in Wheel base. So if anyone finds one around the Midwest let me know!!
