This was a passing freighter, pic taken from my campsite at Algonac

Lots of boats on Lake St Claire too. Bird watching was excellent.

We will be in Algonac St Park the Thursday before Dream Cruise, then on to Alpena just after the weekend. Can't wait.

Sam, it is truly lovely country.

Dakster 07-06-2015 10:32 PM

I've done some of your route before Carl. Nice drive. I also like going over Port Huron Michigan rather than right into Detroit. We were in CT, went up to Niagara Falls - and then over into Michigan and up to Traverse City.

Great pics thanks for sharing and glad SWMBO is able to ride the scooter in Canada.

Howdy Chad! I couldn't really make out the freighter, but the scenery was nice nonetheless.

Wasn't my finest picture taking, but if you look just right of center you can see the bridge, rest of the ship gets lost on the far shoreline (which I believe is Port Lambton area).

Thanks for the pics, Chad. That area is lovely - especially the black bikini.

Most of the other pics my brother in law took are against FTE rules.......:-roll

Nice! How close to the river did you get? And will you be at Dream cruise?

Thank you, Dak. SWMBO is so happy with that Big Ruckus - and I am happy because she can do the speed limits and I can get out of 3rd gear! :D:D:D

I do like crossing at Port Huron, too; and I like bypassing Detroit! There is not much of a wait customs on either side.

CarlT100 07-06-2015 11:22 PM

Chad, did your brother in law do follow up pics of the black bikini? :D

Sam - Awesome. Enjoy your trip.

Too bad about the wardrobe non-malfunction....

we will be on site 94, which is the south end of the second row, just to the right of where your picture was, I think.

yes, we will go to Dream Cruise.. sadly can't bring the FW and the car hauler for the green truck at the same time.

Neat pics Carl. Was the picture of the map of Port Huron, shipwrecks? What were the entry and exit points for?

Looks like a dive site map. I would guess the entry/exit points are for drift diving the river.
