new to me 97 PSD

Hey guys,
I tried to pry this beauty out of a customer about 5 months ago but was told it had been sold. got a call friday saying come get her.

1997 F350
7.3 PSD
XL package
Minute mount 2
small bit of rot over left and right front wheel well and pass side rear.
As it looks to me-
new turbo assy,
new radiator,
new fuel lines,
new powersteering lines,
2 brand new batteries
New front end
rubber is 75%
every single thing works. every switch, every knob, even the door buzzer.
Drives better than my 05 250.

I dropped the oil on Saturday, fuel and air as well, thinking about either chasing the rot with some filler and then undercoating the whole thing, or slapping a flatbed on it, and making it into my new welder/service truck.

Nice find on that truck

If the rot isn't to bad you could get the local Vocational High School to work on it for cheap.

Nice find Dan...congrats...get at that rust sooner rather than later. What you see is only a small percentage of what is probably there.

Keep us updated.

Hey Man,,,did you steal my truck and paint it bronze??? I just bought a 97 XL package, 7.3 powerstroke, with 78K miles on it. Purshcased last sept. And, it had the tow pkg. on the front (which I removed). I already removed the bed, blasted out all rust and painted frame. very clean!! what did you pay, if I may ask??

Uh, well, you might be the number 2 winter hater. I just bought a garden sprayer due to the amount of salt they have been spraying this winter. I fill it with hot hot water and simply spray the salt off. Works great! But it will NOT clean your truck. It's purpose is to remove all salt, and it does that wonderfully. I got tired of spending 3 bucks in quarters every time at the local car wash. Actually, I don't hate "winter",,,I just hate it on the roads!!!
