im looking at another unibody like I need another truck but it's a 62lwb 292 4 speed really clean rust free Nevada truck runs and drives for 1000 bux think that's a good deal?

Sounds good, especially the rust free part! Double check the cab mounts and floors from underneath.

I did looks as solid as mine is zero rot just a plain nice truck

At the very least you could flip it and make some fast cash with the way it sounds. Byw you do need another truck :-X22

I have a rust free 62 swb unibody, straight 6, all original and I just turned down $3500 for it. I think you could make some $ on it.

Nothing weird about it, t'was the way things worked back then. There should be a R/S door lock cylinder.

Custom Cabs came with R/L door lock cylinders, Standard Cabs only came with a right door lock cylinder as standard equipment, left side was optional.

For decades, people locked the left door (all automakers cars & trucks) from the inside, then slide over the seat, got out, locked the right door using the provided lock cylinder.

Why? Because many streets did not have painted dividing lines, traffic was chaotic with people weaving in/out. So...automakers didn't want people standing out in the street locking/unlocking left doors.

It should have the right side lock cylinder as all vehicles did from the 19teens thru the 1940's. If it doesn't, someone removed it, filled in the hole.

Early vehicles had no doors..at all. Model T's had an impression of a left door in the sheet metal. By the 1920's, had both front doors, but only the right door had a lock cylinder

1951 "Deluxe 5 Star" cabs were the first Ford trucks to come with both R & L lock cylinders as standard equipment. Ford changed the name Deluxe in 1955 to Custom.

I don't recall if it was 1963 or 1964 that Standard Cabs came with both...as standard equipment. I know 1965's had both, cuz I bought a 1965 F100 8' Styleside Standard Cab...brand new in March 1965.

Here's How to Post Pictures:
1. Login to FTE.
2.Click User CP (In the Top Left Hand Corner)
3.(On the Left, There will be a list, The 5th Option Down, will say "Pictures & Albums) Click That.
4.Then, Click Add Album, Enter a title, and description, if ya want to.
5. Click Upload Pictures, Then click Browse, Locate the Files of your truck. (You can add 3 files at a time)

8. Click The Picture you want to post, it will give you two codes at the bottom, Right Click The Second one (It say's BB Code, Then Say's [IMG]http:blahblahblah...[/IMG])
Then, Once that is highlighted, Right Click, Then Copy, Then Paste it into your post.
You can add up to 30 Images in one FTE Post.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).
