Towing new F150

A buddy of mine will be retiring soon and wanted me to find out if the new F150's can be towed behind a motorhome, stiff hitched not on a trailer. Thanks

I believe the 2012+ can be flat towed.

This is true for 4x4. Two wheel drive NO.

so only the 4x4 can be flat towed? Huh, I would of thought it would be 2x4. Does anybody know for sure? Thanks for replies so far!

I wouldn't of posted if I wasn't sure. BUT yes it's in the 2012 owners manual starting on page 283.

You could disconnect the drive shaft.

Yes, the only F150 that can be towed without modification is the 4x4. That is the main reason I went with the truck that I did. The owners manual details the procedure to put the transfer case in neutral. I had a driveshaft disconnect in my previous truck for towing. Check and see if Remco makes one for the new F150s.
