Ranchero is fixed :D

I got my truck fixed :D it costed me 635 dollars though ~,~ i had to take it to a shop for the first time and its my friends shop its been in for about 2 weeks.....

Problems and solutions that solved it all...

1) Timing chain Replaced (Contributed to fixing rough idle) It had the OEM nylon chain kit (Garbage)

2)Carb changed from 4bbl carb back to orginal 2bbl.(Contributed to fixing poor acceleration gauge idle) Too much gas getting dumped into my engine thru the carb/ intake by the 4bbl I new it was oversized when i got it.

3) PCV valve changed due to clogging by rough idle (changed that my self.

4) Distribute Replaced & converted to single Vacuum advance system (Contributed to to removing remaining rough idle to a smooth idle) Someone had putt the wrong distributor on my engine T_T when i got it...

Thanks for all the help everyone.

Cool. I had a '74 400 that jumped timing. Mine was all stock with a C6 and 3.55:1 (I think that's what it was) and even with the 2bbl carb I put some ricers in their place. I think they're like 500 CFM. It wasn't in good shape but I miss that car.

right now i just gave her a flush and put in a new rocker arm bolt, reinstalled the rocker and the pushrod i had lose (not in that order).

Only issue left is to solve why i am shifting at 30 then 50..... I think its one of those new vaccum lines he added... something is causing it not to shift properly. It's going to take a bit but at least i can drive it like it is...
