im lost with this cam syncro
 

im putting my new short block together, the last thing i have to do is install this dumb syncro. i have a special tool from ford to do the job. but im finding so many different ways to install it on the internet. like should it be at TDC, or some say 10 degrees after (or before in some places). and where do i point the arrow at that is mounted to the tool.?

im done with the motor but this syncro is holding me back from throwing it in the truck. any move in the right direction is greatly appreated

ok i got it now, bought a manual. put #1 at tdc. (there are marks on the crank shaft ballancer gear) and with the ford tool you basicly just have the arrow point at the bolt hole(30-45degrees counter clockwise):-jammin
