Truck Starting to Miss Fuel Milage went Down

Had my Fuel Filters changed while having truck serviced in Texas. Have about 2000 miles since serviced. I noticed a few days ago truck seems a little sluggish and engine seems to miss on a hard pull or when first started. It does not do it all of the time. on my last trip of 235 miles my fuel mileage was off 3 miles per Gal from what it usually is while pulling my 5th wheel. I am wondering if fuel contamination or water could be the cause. I would think that since the filters have been changed there should be no water in the fuel seperator. Any thoughts??

If you have a 6.0 diesel you may be showing the first symptoms of an injector going out. Watch for a puff of black smoke whenever you pull away from a dead stop.

come to think of it I did notice black smoke when I was backing into a parking spot that was on a up hill slant and the engine was kind of straining. How would I tell if it is injectors and yes it is a 6.0 engine?
