Illegal lights
I found out today that the auxillary lights mounted on my lightbar are not legal in the state of Nebraska! I think that NSP officer Peters, badge #548, just wanted to check out my awesome ride! LOL
Turns out Nebraska statute 60-3,167 allows 2 auxillary lights to be mounted no less than 12 inches and no more then 42 inches from the ground. In my book, this goes beyond bull sh**, beyond horse sh**, it's hog SH**! :-arrgh |
Sounds like someone was bored, when he pulled you over.....

You can have all the extra light's you want mounted on your truck you just can't run them all while your driving down the road and to ad to the dumbness of it all you can only run the 2 driving light's with your high beam's on yet most of the factory driving light's are all wired into teh low beam's. LMAO

I used to get stopped over in Eagle all the time when I first put together my 77.

well im screwed mine are on top my flatbeds headache rack.

No less than 12 inches to the ground? They better start pulling over ever rice burner with fog lights or driving lights.
It seriously sounds like he was bored with nothing better to do. I hate that. I had 2 150 watt lights mounted on a headache rack on my '71 Highboy with 36's. To give you an idea, the pickup barely fit in a 9'x7' door, without the headache rack on. Then I had a 9' whip mounted on the top of that. No more than 42 inches above the ground? Guess I'd have to measure. I sold that '71, but I got a '74 Highboy. I agree with you man., that is a load of hog doo..... Where exactly is Meadow Grove? -Jake |
Head west out of Omaha on hwy 275, Then you go and you go till Norfolk, Then you go father west till you hear a banjo? Well sorta.:-X04 If it weren't for having to slow to 45mph, you'd miss it if you blinked.;)

I'll put them back on in a week or so for a clean-up job I'll be doing at a dairy farm, several big loads of scrap iron to haul in for recycle. Hope to make enough for some new tires and a locker or two.:-jammin |
mite want to hurry on getting that hauled in. Scrap dropped last week and as I understand it's going to drop again in the next week
