For me, the driving factor in selecting a lift kit are the leaf springs. The higher the number of leafs in the spring pack, the better the progressive rate of deflection. In short, a better ride quality. Many of the aftermarket companies use minimal leafs (3-5) in the spring packs. While this is consistent with the OEM spring packs, I want better than OEM ride quality.
Look at SuperLift Suspension Systems. Their leaf counts are higher than average and the prices look very competitive. Here is an example of the SuperLift 4" lift kit at Topgun Customz. 4" 2000 Ford F250 Pickup 4X4 V-8 Gas w/ Square Front U-Bolts Lift Kit w/ Bilstein Shocks @Top Gun Customz |

i have Pro Comp 2.5" level springs on my 5.4 powered F350 and i love them! They ride beautiful and have held their height for over a year now, unlike so other companies whos springs sag in under a year.....

and dual front shocks do nothing but make the front end ride like a brick, nothing more then a marketing gimmick. Keep your single shock and sell what you have for someone who wants the "look"

My 4" skyjacker springs in the front have sagged a bit over time.... they ride OK. I'm putting on procomp or icon springs sometime in the near future. |
Something to keep in mind is the "difference" in prices versus the "total" price of a lift kit. For example, a medium quality lift kit may be priced at $1,500 compared to a top quality lift kit priced at $2,500. The difference is $1,000.
Now, some might say that $1,000 is a huge difference but compare that to ride quality and long-term reliability over the life of the vehicle. How would you like to spend that $1,500 on a medium quality lift kit only to find yourself disappointed in a few years and either having to live with it or spend the $2,500 for the top quality lift kit you could have purchased in the first place. |

I think my factory leaf springs are worn out now |
a four inch kit only gives u a three inch block, your stock is 2 1/2" for a F250. I would install a add a leaf and a bigger four inch block and youd have a truck that looks like it has a four inch spring pack in the rear. Drey04 did this too his F250 and it looks great
