Another 58
 

Might add this shortbed to my collection. I need to talk with the owner today and get some better pictures. The truck is 450 miles away but he might bring it half way, to a place I have to deliver a car I sold.
What I do know is it's a 6 banger, engine not stuck, floors rusty, tailgate missing. Has clear title.

Selling a vehicle can leave one with such an empty feeling....:( Like you, I try to fill the emptiness by picking up something new on the return trip. :-X04 Besides, I think somewhere in the Bible it says that 'idle hands are the devil's workshop'.......}>

Yeah, the 66 Toronado went away so I feel compelled to perpetuate my collection/investments.
A couple months back I bought a 58 and a 60, both long beds. Plans were to get the 60 running for a patined shop truck, do it on the cheap with a drivetrain I already have. The long 58 is a parts truck anyway but does have a pretty solid cab. So now I have a shortbed, might take a wee bit more time on it so I can paint it. No plans yet if the 223 stays or not. I'd like to find a late 90s 4.6 5 speed F-150 for a donor. And also do the Crown Vic front stub, the older version, not the cast aluminum cross member like everyone on here is doing.

Ok, so it was a proverb. That doesn't make it any less true. :D And all my parking is full, at least for now........

Not tryin to highjack this but do you have anything leftover from the Toro? I am looking for a complete 4 spoke steering wheel.

No chance of that, lol, it's a single car garage with all my tools, welders and everything. I started final assembly on my roadster pickup this week and had to do some serious cleaning to get it in.

Funny, I was seriously thinking of getting rid of MY toro to free up another undercover parking space. When you were asked about a 4 spoked wheel from a toro, I was thinking, what are the chances another guy on here had a golf course tractor? I only know of one other and it's in Idaho and was from the golf course at SunValley. Willowbilly, now you can see why I love your roadster pickup so much........ Currently Im sitting at a campsite next to a river with my laptop out here in the dry Eastern part of the state and trying not to look at the local craigslist. Hmmmm, where's Chewela?

I love that tractor. I have been wanting to build a smaller version, like a garden tractor. Case actually made one in the 60s but they are rare as heck. When I was picking up the 58 and 60 that I have there was an old gambles riding mower with a little bed in the back, never seen another one of those either.
I'll get some pictures up of the roadster pickup when it gets a little farther along.
