223 Bellhousings

I know how much everyone loves pictures around here (me included) and I thought that I could post up a few pictures of the manual transmission 223 bellhousings. It took me a while to find a 4 speed bellhousing for mine because I never knew exactly what I was looking for.

On the left is the 4 speed and on the right the 3 speed.

If anyone is curious about measurements I can get them and post them up.

The 3 speed that came out of my 1959 Ford F-250

If anyone could help me identify exactly what 3 speed this is that would be much appreciated!

Sorry Brother, none of your pics made it thru that I can see!

hmm. That's weird. I'll have to try again because I can see them.

How about that? I think I fixed the pictures!

So, are you putting in a 4 spd? An F250 should have one, it only seems right! Welcome to the world of the fridge truck.:-wink

Yes sir. I've had my eye on one of those t-98's since I got the truck!

There is no such thing as a 223 only 4 speed bellhousing. What are the Ford ID numbers marked on these bellhousings?

1957/64 223: There are TWO different 3 speed bellhousings, one was also used with a 4 speed.

Bell housing match up

Hi there ,I’m a new member to the group and after asking a question on a thread I was passed on one of your posts from a while back. I’m trying to match up a 1952 215 motor with a t98 4 speed manual gearbox and am trying to find out the correct bell housing ,wondered if you can help. I’ve attached pics of my engine and gearbox.
Cheers
