New to Georgia Chapter

Hey all...New to the Georgia Chapter of FTE.

Just wanted to introduce myself to you all.

I have a 1982 f100 (spend a lot of time on the Bull Nose forumn) with a transplanted 460.

All in all in pretty good shape. Typical small things you would expect with a 30 year old truck. Currently battling a tranmission shifting issue. Going to try a few things today my friends over in the other forumn have suggested.

Was pointed here by my buddy in Acworth, Grubworm....thanks for pointing me in this direction David :)

added a couple pictures to show you all my ride...look forward to meeting and hanging out with some of you guys in the future :)

Sweet Truck! I'm gearing up to transplant a 460 into my '84 F-150 as well, so I may have some questions for you in the coming weeks.

Where in Dallas are you located? I used to go out that way all the time, as I grew up in the Douglasville/Winston/Villa Rica area.

Right by the sheriff's station / detension center...don't tell me you know exactly where that is:)

New Hope area...by the library if you know where that is.

One of my daughters lives in Douglasville now

And Thank you for the complement...would love to talk about it all some day. I did not put the motor in but have been all over this thing since I got it.

I do know where that is, though I've never been there. Haha. Right there off of 381, right?

Yeah, for the most part, I lived right off of Highway 5 in Winston, off of Mason Creek Road, over by Alexander High School. But before I moved out to McDonough, I lived off of Prestley Mill Road in Douglasville.

you got it...right off 381!! about 1/4 mile from where the toronado touched down a few weeks ago actually. From the chopper camera, you could see my house in the back ground...little too close for comfort

Wow. Small world, isn't it? Haha. Next time I ride up to Douglasville, we'll have to meet up and talk trucks.

Mason Falls. I know exactly where that is. I almost got in a head-on collision coming around the curve right in front of that subdivision in my '84 a couple of years back. My buddy and I were late for an ROTC event one morning, and we were haulin azz down that road headed towards highway five at like 4:00 a.m. I cut into the other lane to cut the corner, and just as I did, I saw a set of head lights. Swerved back into our lane, I over corrected, and the back end started sliding around. Thankfully, I was able to wrestle her back under control, and we continued to haul azz to school. Haha. I'll never forget that curve right there.

I've never been there though. I've only been to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department. Once. Over a fight I got into in eighth grade. Haha! I probably earned more than just that trip though, considering the hell we used to raise. :-jammin
