Grill emblem removal
 

Ok, I removed the 2 nuts off the back of my grill emblem on my 08 Expy..... Now can you tell me why it will not come off? I had a screwdriver behind it but it seems like it is glued on. Any help?

Did you get the nuts off by reaching behind it? Were they metal?

Maybe it was replaced before, the replacement ones have double-sided tape on them in addition to the speed nuts.

Yes the nuts were behind it and metal. It must be on there with sticky tape as well cause it will not come off. I will try the fishing line trik this weekend to see if it is sticky tape.

I bought my Expedition new and the grill emblem had the two nuts and double sided tape. I had to pry on it to get it off.

Mine had delaminated, so I decided to paint it, I also had to pry it to get it off and in the process broke of the two plastic pins :-arrghthat the speed nuts connect to.

I painted and reinstalled using a small amount of auto motive adhesive.
