swap Ford 4.4L diesel engine into F150?
Ford makes it for Range Rovers and Discoverys and they plan to put it in the F150 in future so why not jump the line? My biodiesel is going to waste.

It sounds like a good idea to me, they sound like they have ben pretty good motors, do it

the diesel engine in a F-150 idea was killed by ford back in 2003.
this is one of those urban legends that pops up every year and is repeated as truth because someone heard their neighbors second cousins sons best friends sisters boyfriend say it, and it must be true because he works at a ford dealership washing cars in the used car lot. |
im surprised someone hasnt already taken one of the V6 powerstrokes out of a cab over and dropped it into a f150. I think someone on here should do it :)

Picture 2 - 4.4L diesel-powered Ford Expedition [Spied] Ford already makes this engine, it appears the engineering for implementation in F150 and Expedition has been done. Ford would just rather you buy an EcoBoost instead. |
where there is a will there is a way. I know a guy near me who took a old fetolays truck as a donor, stuck it's 4 ba cummins with a 700r 4 auto trans into a 1928 model a pick up and still had the hoods to close.
if that could be done why not into a f150 that has a bigger engine bay to work with . |
