59 f250 wheel size

Hello forum, I'm looking at a 59 f-250 with 15" 5lug wheels, is this a true 250? Also, Where would the vin tag be on this truck? Thank you for your time gayle.sutton@am.jll.com or post here would be great

It could be a true F250 with F100 axles, or a true F100 with an F250 cab or just F250 emblems or most likely F250 fenders. Either way, it has been altered. Not sure if that qualifies you as a darksider or not.....At least it's a true fridge. Any pics?

An F-250 would have 8-lug wheels from the factory.Post up the v.i.n. .It is on the inside of the dispatch, or glove-box door.

The owner, or a previous one,may have installed the body onto a different frame. The vin is also stamped somewhere on the frame.I can't say where.

It is suppose to be on the top of the frame near the front axel.

No, it does not make you a Darksider! There has not been any intentional swapping out of FoMoCo parts for brand X! :D What you have there is real Ford with parts from two different weight classes!

Whewww...close one.

Hey at least mine is all from the same (one ton) weight class. HaHa....Well maybe not the corvair throw out bearing. What's the gvw on one of them?;) ;)As for this F250 with the 15" wheels, we still want a serial number and a photo or two. What is the bed? Flareside, styleside, flatbed, long bed or short bed?

Thank ya'll for the info. The truck looks solid, with the normal f-100 stuff underneath. Cab is really solid, but I haven't looked at the mounts yet, has a sweet all vinyl black seat, body is a flare, with wooden bed rotting under a steel plate top (brilliant), looks like holly green under all black/bondo top color. I did see some highland blue on the door hinges, now im confused, but the paint tag'll tell me all soon. The guy runs a wrecker, has it in his yard for 1500, beside a 70 for 2500. I'm gonna lay 700 on the hood and go from there, just wanted to run it by ya'll first.
