I think you might have a harder time than most with that one, as the '99 V10 was the only year made without the PI heads. I'm moving this one to the 6.8L V10 forum where you should get some better replies. :-X22

I thought the PI and NPI could use the same cams? whats the difference between the two?

Perhaps they can, I was assuming that the flow differences between the two would necessitate a different cam.

Thats nothing porting wont take care of. I was speaking of geometry of the cam, follower, and lash adjuster.

A few technical points:

The '99 has non-PI heads, but PI heads can be bolted on as long as you take care of a few things.

1) Need the PI intake.
2) Compression will go up, somewhere near 10.25:1 if I recall correctly. That needs to be dealt with by using a custom tune. I think Mike at 5-star can help, he did a PI head swap on a '99 V10 already, so he has a baseline to start with.

A few other points:

No one makes cams for the V10 - Comp Cams I believe used to have blanks that they would machine to your specs, but I don't think they have blanks anymore according to some people here who've tried that route.
