2000 f250 xlt 4x4 325000 miles, starting to use oil. Oil leak right rear of head. Original transmission and engine. I have had front wheel bearings replaced several times.

05 with 186l 7500Hrs runs like new

Just bought a ex Terminix truck - 5.4 with auto pulls like made, runs great on open highway. Just filled up starting mu MPG test.

186K miles with 7500 hours - must have sat idling for a while each day.

It seems like the key to these ford running long is rigid fleet maintenance program.

Being on the back end of the tech refresh cycle cant hurt either. the 6.2 out for 5 years now.

2004 Navigator 5.4 DOHC/4V with just shy of 150k... Slight clatter at startup but afterwards probably the smoothest running V8 I've had, and the rest of the vehicle has no squeaks or rattles...

2009 F-150 5.4 has 86,000. Runs like a top. Very happy so far

2005 5.4L 175,000 miles runs great since I replaced the timing components and roller followers, and lash adjusters. May need to burn out the cats a little, but runs smooth!

Its now quieter than its been in 3 or 4 hundred k miles. Scaring the crap out of me so I am planning to replace the engine in a couple of weeks.

I went ahead and replaced it about 3500 miles ago. Running great and very quiet.

My last truck 2008 250 with the 5.4 had 130,000k when I sold it. Still ran good but mileage dropped from 11.5 to 9.2, probably had internal issues.

Update 500k

I have a 2004 F150 FX4. The truck is pretty much original. I have done the cam phasers and timing chains and tensioners. Also replaced the cats. Regular service every 4-5k. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...e6d9d8f0fe.jpg

01 super crew 4.6l bought in 2005. Had 26k I currently have 305,329 and counting. Daily driver all it's life and I'm still driving and working it as it was made to do. Does anyone know if ford is going to start up a high mileage club and if so what mileage would it begin at?

I have about 200 miles on the AER rebuilt 5.4 3v in my '04 FX4 SC. Original engine melted the cam into the passenger head at 117,000 miles. The truck is still nice so I sunk about $6000 into the engine, labor, and parts.

Previous F150 was a 97 SC LWB 2WD 4.6 that I sold with 340,000 miles. That was a great truck, but it got rusty.

2006 F-250 XL 5.4l just turned 173k miles. I bought it with 172k. Was a fleet vehicle for a utility company. Already know that at full load acceleration there's a miss on the 5th and 7th cylinders. Getting ready to replace all the plugs and coils. The plugs were already replaced with the updated ones. Wheww! Other than that it runs great. I drove it down to NYC yesterday and it did fine on the 100 mile RT. Sitting in traffic etc.

Wow that's awesome! Hope I get that much out of mine!
