If you price them, you probably won't want to buy any....unless you're as wealthy as Croeses, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet or the Sultan of Brunei.
|
Is there any place you can buy them new?

When I saw ND's post I looked them up on google and wow, 240-260+ a tire in bootless shopping area. I like the look but not that much.

Firestone makes new 900 16's military stagger blocks...... I had a set of 4 on my 52 dodge PW as it was a military truck...... WARNING!!!! do not, I REPEAT DO NOT try to drive in snow with these things... I lived in Mammoth Lakes for many years and the 900 16's suck huge in the snow... I ended up buying a second set of rims, and putting a standard mud and snow on them for winter driving.... the 900 16's were great off road, but hated sloppy mud and snow....

The NDT (non-directional tread) military tires, as I've read, aren't great on a driver type truck. Like said, they're not good in the winter, nor on road. I'll, however, be putting them on my flat fender Power Wagon when that day comes, but will be putting standard traction thread tires on my Marmon-Herringtons. Here's pic's of NDTs on my friend's '52 F-2 M-H, and a pic of the traction tires I found for my project F-3 M-H.

They look like 9.00 16s made by specialty tire of American and sold through universal tire.

Those are Cooper Courser Traction LTs. Four are 7.50 x 17s, and two are 8-19.5s. All NOS bias ply. The two sizes are essentially the same, i.e. 34" outside diameter, except that the 17s are tube type and 19.5s tubeless. Since that picture I've found one additional NOS 17" and a set of four slightly used 19.5s. All the same brand and tread pattern. Stu
