Change spark plugs - 2009 Flex
 

I'm getting ready to change the spark plugs on my wifes 2009 Flex, and looking for any info from others that may have done this job already. I got info from all data that the intake manifold cover has to come off to access the rear plugs... Who designs this stuff??? So, what am i looking for in gaskets? 1, 3, or 6 to replace? Also spark plugs, any recommendations? Are these dealer only parts?

The intake gaskets on most engines nowadays are considered reusable unless damaged during removal, or the vehicle has very high mileage. Removing the upper intake plenum to access the rear bank of cylinders is neither anything new, nor a big deal at all. Just hope that your wife never needs to replace the water pump. Now THAT would be a big deal.
