Well progress has been almost non existent this summer. I've been thinking about wiring.
I went on a family vacation (without my wife and with her parents....) and found a box for my fuse panel. It's a little big, but I think it will work.

Here is my wiring table setup:

Hopefully I will be able to get some work on this soon. I just get distracted by so many other things right now.

Here is my drawing for wiring the lights with turn signals. The wiring diagrams from the manual and the one you buy online don't have this.
My one issue is that all lights will go through one fuse, but I don't know a way around that.

The colors out of the turn signal switch are the colors indicated on the MidFifty instructions for installing the switch

Edit: There were errors in this drawing. I don't want anyone getting confused by my screw up so I deleted the drawing from this post. I will fix and repost soon.

I Hear Ya

Don't make me come down there and help again.:-X19 My progress has been slow this year as well. Had my Dad pass away in April and my Mom is still in rehab for a knee replacement. When does all the madness stop?:-X21
My old 272 blew a head gasket and sucks anti freeze almost as fast as I can pour it in.
So my current TO DO list is:
1. Install some ECZ-G heads that I'm getting a valve job done on and I'll change them out as soon as the shop gets them done.
2. Install a ECZ 6425 "B" 4 barrel manifold, I've got a manual choke Holley 390.
3. Install a valley pan with PVC setup and block off the road draft tube.
4. Install a set of Sanderson headers.
5. Get dual exhaust system built with Smitty mufflers.
It's already got a pertonix ignition and coil.

I've got, but not sure when I'll get around to installing:
1. A Toyota power steering set up.
2. A Y-Block power steering pump.
3. A 9" rear end.
4. A dual master cylinder power brake assembly.
5. Front disk brake kit.
6. A C4 to Y Block adapter (but no C-4 yet)

You might have to come back down. I would get a years worth of progress in a day. :)
Your to do list looks much more difficult and expensive than mine.

I was thinking about going to the swap meet in Springfield toward the end of August. I'm looking for a bumper and potentially an 8' flatbed. After seeing Jolly Roger Joe's I'm jealous and thinking the all wood bed won't be quite as cool. But for some reason I think I might have some family deal going on that weekend...Ahh Friday night football in Boonville...maybe I should get up very early Saturday and get down there.....

I mentioned this go the spousal unit and she thought we had something besides the game going on that weekend. I hope not, but you never know. I will let you know my plans and if I can make it we can meet up.

The place looks huge.

Good news, not so good news (not unexpected though)
First off here is how my son spent the first day of his Junior year. He tore his elbow up bad at a scrimmage. The doctor has done this surgery on tons of pro baseball players. He said he had done over 500 of these and Sam's was in the top 10 worst cases he has ever done. My son goes all out on everything. :-X15

The doctor says he should be 100% by January if he does his physical therapy just like he is told.

I went to the Springfield Swap Meet Saturday. (I'm feeling it now.) and got myself a windshield. That saved me probably $200 or more taking shipping out.

I'm a dunce, but you guys know that already. I was tired but couldn't sit, so I ran out to the garage. I had been struggling with the dimmer switch plate, two of the screws wouldn't come out. Well, dunce me finally got the drill. Thirst seconds later the plate was off.

Well......looks like I need a new dimmer switch.

At least it is not a pricey part. Now that I have the windshield, I need to get cracking on this and get my truck street legal.

hoss73ford 08-23-2015 10:50 PM

Oh that sux. So that means Sam's out for the season then? I hate that, it's so devastating. At least he still has his senior year as far as football goes.
Springfield is always huge and I felt it after walking the entire length only to see far more Chevy parts than Ford. Think in the future I'm going to stick to all Ford meets even if it means driving a distance to go to it.

Harrier 08-24-2015 05:52 AM

Yeah, football is out, but he should be all ready for baseball. He told us that football is a lot of fun, but baseball is his true love.

Yeah, there wasn't a lot of Ford stuff, but it is only 2 hours from me and was a fun trip. Getting the windshield was all worth it.

Harrier 09-12-2015 09:50 PM

Well, I'm continuing to work on my turn signal wiring. I'm getting very close but it comes 5 minutes at a time lately.
I decided to take a look at the fuse between the flasher and ignition switch and found this:

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...abf3ccb34d.jpg
I just had to laugh. Someone had a problem with that fuse at one time.

Of course I go and hook up the flasher and it doesn't seem to be working. I tested it the other day and it worked. The turn lights on the dash still light up, but they aren't flashing and the flasher isn't clicking like it did when I tested it. The bad thing is I just placed an order with MidFifty, it will all be here Tuesday. I considered buying a flasher just in case, but noooo.....

Could probably get a 12v locally but 6v probably not.

Yeah, just looked at a couple of local stores web sites. It looks like Napa has it, but not at the store. Funny thing, the picture on the MidFifty site says www.rockauto.com. :)

All the ones I'm seeing are three prong and mine is a two prong. Interesting.

If it's only two prongs, it might get its ground through the body. If you're testing it and it's not touching the frame, it probably won't work. Just a thought as to why it did work, and then quit.
