I found the pictures, nice truck! I like it, looks like it was owned by a utility company at some point. That has to be one of the biggest front bumpers I even seen, I'll bet that thing weights 1,000 lbs at least!

What are your plans for it?

Sam

F600

The info we found shows Anza Electric may have owned it at one time. We are getting it running for a customer to use it around his ranch. Problem is #2 cylinder is dead!! No compression...0...not good.Every thing on this truck is big! especially that front bumper. Bumper makes a great patio to stand on while working on the motor though.It is a cool truck.Thnaks Brian

If it has a bunch of blowby it probibly has a hole in a piston.

If it doen't have much blowby it probibly has a stuck valve.

Early VIN #s

I have an earlier F700, If you can decode the vin for me I would certainly appreciate it!!!!! The first #'s on the tag are, F70EUE14550. Then under that is F70442819GHD. And then under that # is FE41027. The vehicle is a small dump truck with a gasoline powered V8. I'm still trying to figgure out how to use this site so please be patient with me??? Thanks again!!! :-huh

Hey Dozerdude, numberdummy IS the ford parts guru. He is the man when it comes to vin decoding PERIOD.

Yeah. Did all the diagnostics and have come to the conclusion that rings may be the problem....We are goinig to pull the head and see what is going on.

It runs pretty good for having a dead cylinder though....
All cylinders have 123-125 on compression test except #6 had 50 and #2-0....
Customer states motor was rebuilt around 2001 and only has about 1200 miles on it. However, it has been sitting for the last 6 or so years.

Talk to yal later...Brian

And THANK YOU!!!! Number Dummy for your :-drink help!!!

The VIN (F70EUE14550) is what the truck is registered by and is stamped on the Warranty Plate.

F70 = F700 (gas).

E = 361 2V FT engine.

U = Louisville KY Assembly Plant.

E14550 = 1969.

Where are these other numbers stamped? If they are on the second line of the Warranty Plate, you have jumbled them all together and they are out of sequence.

2nd line: W.B. / COLOR / MODEL / BODY / TRANS / AXLE

3rd line: GVW / DSO.

Look at the codes you posted, rearrange them in the correct sequence. I see some codes I recognize, but don't want to guess on the rest.
