I used to run an extra Racor oil/water separator when I filled up in Mexicali in the 80's. I would catch 1/2 cup of water every 6 months with fill ups every 2 weeks. Not sure going down for a tankfull would be possible in today's world. In 1981 diesel went for $1.20 in El Centro and about 33 cents/gallon there. At the border the officers always asked how many gallons I bought? I always answered in liters - they'd say 'how many gallons is that'? I just shrugged - I was a wise guy even then...}>

Bring cash to help lubricate any sticky situations.:( Negotiate everything.

I hope not to have any issues. I usually park my car and use my uncles truck. And if I end up in trouble from a cop he better treat me well. My cousin is a DA in Mexicali.

You could take a Cessna 182. That wouldn't look suspicious at all. :)

That idea is out, well since that guy got caught the other day...

Global Entry

Not yet, and I don't travel all that frequently any more, but I wonder if those of us with TWICs shouldn't be fastracked into that program.

The qualifications and "hoops" seem to be about the same.

Torks me off.
As much as I'm bg checked for the various events I do you might think they'd figure out I get an auto fastrack. Nope.

Guess I'll pay the $100 and see if it's worth the shorter line.

Dog party at our place today. The next-door neighbor's having some work done on his house so we're watching his two; one is a Cocker and the other is of questionable lineage.

Does Max welcome visitors?

SpringerPop 02-20-2012 09:28 AM

Yippee!

Yeah, these are Max's buddies. He stays at their place when we go on trips, so we reciprocate when we can. Our cat doesn't share Max's enthusiasm at having guests, so he'll be pretty scarce today.

Good pic Marv :D

That photo may have been taken at Dummy's place.

Party hearty!
