That was a shock to hear about Cornelius.

Yeah, but I was looking at a ton of pics of the little varmints and nothing really stood out. I've never even seen one around here anyway...I guess I could've gone with a Marmot, but that's an Alaska thing:

It really was. You never know what kind of personal demons someone is fighting.

It was funny how slow the morning news was to catch on to who he was. I was watching ABC7 at about 6, and they said there had been a shooting on Mulholland, possibly a suicide. Then about 20 minutes later they said a man identified as Don Cornelius was the possible "victim". Almost like they didn't recognize the name. It made me think it was just a coincidence, and I wasn't even sure he was still living. When I left home at 6:45 they still had not made the Soul Train connection. I wasn't sure until you posted that picture.

My daughter, son-in-law, & granddaughter should be here in a few hours! I'm so excited!:D They left Fort Hood,Texas 2 days ago & are moving back here to Carson City, NV.

Cornelius was 75.

He had a good run.

I gotta' wonder, just a little bit, about the reports of "self inflicted", "gunshot wound to the head", and "shots fired" (plural). :)

Just flew into Idaho today. Happy Feb 1 from Boysee. Drives the locals crazy to mispronounce their fine town. Still not wintery here.

Since February is here and I'm a day late...HELLO FEBRUARY and SOCAL!!!

Weather here in Indiana has been well above "normal"...whatever "normal" is these days!

I should be back in your neck of the woods...perhaps week of February 13...we'll see...
