Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I've experienced both. If you have a spare it's easy enough to swap out.

If you suspect a fuel problem open the drain on the bowl and see what you get.

Also could be oil / hpop related.

I opened the fuel bowl and there is liquid fuel in the bowl and did a buzz test the injectors sound good I am hoping that it is the CPS

With AE on and watching engine RPM, does it show cranking when you try to start it?

blrman1962 01-21-2012 12:13 PM

I have not looked at that yet and if it does ddoes that mean a good CPS and I need to look at other things

If AE shows RPM your CPS may very well be good since that is where the PCM gets it's signal from. Like mentioned before, throw a spare one in and see if it helps.

Sounds to me more like an oil problem or possibly IPR related. This could be a short or something else.

This sounds like fuel bowl heater, don't remember what fuse it is on a 99 but on a 2000 it is fuse #30.

If you are not getting a WTS light do as Richard said and check fuse #30 under dash.
