FINALLY got my pitman arm in the mail. Can't wait to get the steering linkage done and the steerin stabalizer in!

ordered new accumulator valve springs and a filter stay put clip to hopefully fix my harsh shifting. that b&m kit is comming out

hey midnite, did you find out why your rear end does that. i think mine does it also but, now as bad as yours. mines feels like after i put it in gear and i let go of the brake and step on the gas theres a small slip ( i can feel and hear a slight movement before the truck moves.) i was wondering if there was something wrong with my gears or the diff was going out. my gears are new. only about a year old. what do you think it could be midnite? think its the diff?

after opening up mine and looking inside the spider gears looked a little work but thats about it. i compared the axle rotation to my other truck and it moves about the same amount but its softer when it shifts. so that makes me think the shift kit i have is screwing things up. so im going to go back with stock springs again once they show up

hey midnite, i forgot to mention that i have a b&m shift kit to. i set it up for the strip and it shifts hard but, i'm comfortable with it. could be the diff is worn due to it not being built for that purpose (rear end). i already got a bare rear end for free so now i was thinking of building it up to handle the shift kit and future engine rebuild. hopefully this rear won't blow anytime soon. ( i hate tooting my own whistle ). gonna cross my fingers.

I ha mine setup for strip at first then swappe to the lighter springs but don't notice much difference. So I'm just goin to go back to stock springs and see if it helps

Replaced the inner/outer tierods and pitman arm.

Installed a rancho steering stabalizer ( guy at work bought it 12 years ago and never used it. I got it when he cleaned out his garage.
Found a doormat with rubber bottom on sale. Laid it out on the folded flat backseat maybe stuff won't slide around now. Like my sub box mainly

man does it ever steer nice now with the new linkage!! it was getting pretty sketchy near the end.....

was quoted 150$ for an allignment and 100$ to install the new camber bushings.
i figured they have to adjust them anyways so it might be easier if they just install them too.....

now to wait for my unemployment to come in so i can get an allignment done.(im in school for 8 weeks. ill be a 4th year apprentice millwright when i get out)

Ouch that sucks. Glad I got a spare 33 with the other four I bought in case this happens to me.

I only got 4 32" tires when I got mine. Got them from pick n pull and spare didnt come with it.

Going I replace the 2 rear tires with new 32-11.5 15 BFG at's for now then once I get an allignment I'll replace the front 2. Then I have 3 spares....

BUT I want to go with 33 12.5 15 then they're more common. I found a set of 5 for 1000 used with 2000km on them.... So I don't know

well i SCORED on a set of 33 12.5 r15 BFG AT tires with 12/32" tread left, had 17/32" new. no un even wear. but there are some small cracks in the tread. but for free... i wasnt going to argue. the PO had them on a 7" wide rim so im thinking that was part reason for them to start to show cracks.....

also picked up a set of procomp 15x9.5" rims to mount the tires on . going to clean up the rims and give them a coat of paint tomorrow so i can get the tires on this weekend.
