Same here... :( |
Well I realized how much the truck meant to me so I'm keeping it. It has 1ton leafs under it now to help with the weight.
On another note... DELJAC, what did you use to paint your bumper black? I think I have asked you this before I just can't remember. It's the last bit of chrome on the front and I want to paint it black.. |
I'm glad you couldn't let your truck go.

well i finally have something to update to the thread lol
had an 11hr day with PUDDY at my work working on my truck. http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...228_160307.jpg started with removing motor mounts. and oil pan gasket. ended up picking motor as high as we could get it (and i have the 3" bodylift too) to drop the oil pan. unbolted pan and oil pump. tried our best to get it out without removing the y pipe but no luck. didnt want to chance breaking a stud on the exhaust so just cut the section out that ran under the motor to give enough room to remove oil pan. once pan was out sandblasted and found a hole, so welded the hole up. painted the oil pan and cleaned the oil pump. re assembled the pump/pan using a new felpro gasket. installed the new super duty motor mounts from bronco grave yard and a new transmission mount again. filled with the cheapest oil i could find to do a flush and moved truck across the shop to the welder so i could weld the exhaust back together. man i love the sound with basically open headers..... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/uZPKvIV9Tzk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> re welded the exhaust and its good as new now. BIG thanks to PUDDY for all the help today. get to do it all over again to his truck in a couple weeks lol few pics http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...228_160341.jpg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...228_191805.jpg http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...228_191556.jpg |

What size was the bolt for the motor mount again, 16 or 18mm?

well i grabbed a handle out of a 2000f150 for ther pillar and a handle from a 98 contour for above the door.
after looking into it and measuring and stuff i decided the pillar ones wouldnt work for me so i installed the contour oned above the door. i used rivet style "nuts" if you want to call them that. the handle is nice n sturdy. i spaced it out with a 1/2" nut so it didnt pull into the headliner Thanks |

Did you have to drill a hole in the headliner? Where did you get the screws? Thanks
The nuts were like a rivet tighten them and it fastens it self to the sheet metal. Had them at work |
