Well finally gotten body lift in.
Started like this today

And the process

http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/b0f73ae2.jpg
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/f0fa9083.jpg

Had to notch the front frame to bring the bumper to the right height

And body lift is in. Just need to figure out something for the rear bumper

Replaced my stained soggy carpet with a vynl one from the JY.
Started with this
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/23023828.jpg
Turned my truck inside out
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/3b7029ca.jpg
Cleaned up the bare floor and painted one spot that had surface rust from the soggy carpet.
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/86689897.jpg
Installed the new to me rubber floor and gave it a cleaning
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/7fcde37b.jpg
Then put the inside back inside the truck
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/816ff41d.jpg

Got a strip of rubber for the gap under the tailgate to atleast cover the frame
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/9afa9f23.jpg

Also found out that The back of the drivers side head hits the firewall in reverse... Tine to get the hammer out.... And a block of wood or long punch...

Midnite1987 06-01-2012 10:34 PM

lost my belt yesterday while driving home from me n the gf's 2yr anniversary dinner... so stopped on the side of the road and got a ride home to get the trailer and brought it home.
looked today and this is what i found..... something looke a little off dont you think?
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/7ee66632.jpg

got the tensioner off that was being held on by the spring....the other half of the bole wasnt attatched...
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/e197a3d9.jpg

pulled the bracket and oh look the rest of the bolt.....
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/853ea800.jpg

got the rest of the bolt out and got tired of the mosquitoes for the night. gotta get 2 hose clamps for the airpump hose then i can put her back together again

Looking good man. I love the look after the lift. Keep up the good work. I need to get around to doing my lift and welding in my patch panels.

Women are bad luck... }> Just kidding..

Midnite1987 06-01-2012 10:54 PM

i think it makes it look shorter (length not height) after the bodylift lol.
i gotta get some patch pannels too but were paying off the creditcards so hopefullt the bank will give us some $$ to build a garage

deljac 06-02-2012 02:19 PM

deljac 06-02-2012 03:12 PM

Cool. I wasnt a big fan of black until i bought mine. And im stickin with black on mine

Midnite1987 06-02-2012 08:21 PM

well i de smogged my motor and replaced the broken tensioner today. after 3 trips to the parts store i finally got the right belt length....

all the "extra" junk
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/3ddfaf01.jpg

the 5/8" bolts i installed after removing the thermactor piping.
i now have more clearance between the head ant the firewall so hopefully no more hitting in reverse...
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/9b0d30df.jpg
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/4c56c862.jpg

found that a 3/8" pipe plug would work in the pipe to the exhaust.... threaded her all the way in with some sealant.
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...d/1c9ce4b6.jpg

there lots more room. just gotta make ther last trip in to exchange my belt one more time... the parst person got the numbers backwards... i wanted a 6k965 they gave me 6k695..... way too short lol

I always liked the looks of an extended cab short box that's lifted like that. I agree that it makes it look not so long.

Midnite1987 06-02-2012 09:14 PM

I like the extended can cause the seat goes back farther and I have room for my sub box in the back. I just leave the back seat folded down and layed a mat across the whole thing
