frame mounts

That looks like a pretty straight forward job is your frame mounts in the front from a kit or did you come up with your own pattern ? looks like a real good job ! I have a 91 e150 same body style , I was thinking of trying to find a truck or bronco same year with a blown engine ,do you know if a f150 drive line would be a direct fit or would I need to move up to the 250 or 350 series ,I would like to keep from mixing and matching a bunch of parts ,thats why I would want a doner vehicle and get everything from that ,Im a welder by trade so making trans mounts ,andother fabbed parts would not be a big deal, I thought there might be a kit you could buy to help with this conversion?any help or advice would be appreciated!

I made the mounts myself.

If you are doing a half ton, stuff from a 76-79 F150 or 78/79 Bronco would work nice. You would keep your coil spring buckets on your frame, and use the springs, axle, radius arms and what not from the pickup. You would have to make a track bar bracket for ypur frame. But its a strait forward job. Not hard at all.

Workin on installing a Bronco 33 gallon tank in place of the stock 22. From sitting for 3 years the stock tanks are rusted up.

Also the weather striping is bad around the doors... :(

33 gallon tank out of a 84 fullsize bronco. Made new tank straps, and upper mounts. Other than that it fit nice.

Made a pull with it this weekend. 72ft long front to back. It did pritty good. But ran a bit funny. When I got home to check it out, somehow some of the vacuumcaps had fallen off the vacuum tree.

Also pulled the running boards off due to the front tires hitting them.

So I blew the factory crossmember out to replace the oil pump. I need to make a new bolt in member yet. Just need to find the motivation.

So I also ditched the factory oil filter adaptor housing in favor of just a filter. Can do it just because of the missing crossmember.
