Windshield gasket
 
I just got my windshield gasket from LMC , is there post to be a lip on the inside my old one had a lip on the inside thanks nickhttp://[IMG]http://i1114.photobucket...202_105747.jpg

I guess I will reply since none of the other 30 people who looked at your post is going to.
I am thinking it will have to have a lip on it to hold the glass in. I guess we are talking about the same thing. As far as I know there are only two different gaskets. One has a groove in it for the chrome trim to stick into and one does not. It should be the same style as what your old one is. Make sure they sent you the proper piece. hi i tried to put a pic but it didnt work today but it worked last nite , sorry about that , it has the grove in it for the chrome and i have the windshield it it fits , i have the pic's in my Garage there is three in there , it looks like my old one but the in side don't have the lip looks like it just wedges in the frame of the cab

Sorry to say but, it sounds like the wrong seal. There should definately be a lip to come inside of the pinch weld.

to spurredon , thats what i think but it fits my windshield good but no lip so im sending it back and getting a new one thanks , (at Buzz44 that what it was doing to me to it worked the day before i will try to figure it out thanks for the help guys ,

1957/60 F100/1100: There are two different w/shield weatherstrips.

B7C-8103110-A = Use without stainless steel w/shield mouldings.

B7C-8103110-B = Use with stainless steel w/shield mouldings.

The difference is: With w/shield mouldings, the w/strip has a groove in it.

Carpenter has both these w/strips ($40.00-either) and they're made in the US of A.
