one piece windows

hey guys...........i wanted too know if there is a company that offers 1 piece windows for the early 90's trucks. i was looking and thinking of removing the vent (wing) window on my truck to give it a cleaner look. has anybody done this conversion. if so can i see a pic. i already have p/w on my truck so all i would need is the glass and probably some other stuff. let hear what you got. thanks.:-X22

Nope. There is a guy that made 1 piece setup for his completely custom f150. When I get home ill post pics and his username on nloc. His truck is amazing.

There aren't any companies I'm aware of either that make such a kit. I just don't see removing that vent doing much to clean up the truck. Just my .02

On a custom side, you could always, shave the handles, and mirror holes, then have a plate made and mount custom mirrors where the vents are. That'd be sweet, and clean.

If you've had your A/C not working you would know that isn't such a great idea...

The vent window is part of why I like this body style.

i think i saw some on lmc or national parts depot. They make both i belive vent and one piece

hillbillytreeman 11-27-2011 09:35 PM

i was disapointed when ford quit putting vent windows on their trucks best thing ever for smokers in winter or raining

Big Amen! Doing away with vent windows was the worst thing the companies ever did; it was a big A/C sales (and repair) incentive. I was ventless for over ten years, but since I got my '88 F150 I realize how much quieter it is driving with windows down, vents open - and A/C off.

hey 86f150........thanks for the up link to the photos. i got a good idea of what my truck would look like ventless.

Well, yes & no... Yes there is a company, but they don't have kits for 90s Fords.

Contact them & see what they can do.

You cant rally do safely. There is a support in the door right where the wing window bar is

If you look at the right side of their home page they are working on products for 67-96 Ford trucks. It doesn't specify what products though, and I'm assuming that it is products for full size trucks. Their open-piece door glass kits aren't inexpensive though.

If you look under the second youtube video, it sez:

"Next on our List is the 1967-96 F-Series Truck Full One Piece Door Glass Conversion Kits..."

So if he calls they might be able to give him a time frame as to when it might be available.

At any rate it does answer the question, "Is there a company...?"

(On edit, I missed the side bar, just saw the bottom notice)
