Air Aid Beneficial?

Guys, I am thinking of installing an Air Aid throttle body spacer to my 2011. They advertise that it will provide better torque and mileage. Has anybody experienced this after market upgrade? Thanks, Jag

Try doing a search since this question has been asked many times.
Throttle body spacers have some effect on carbs and TBI systems but not on SEFI. Most consider the spacers useless but they won't harm the engine. Some spacers do have a whistle sound at certain RPM.
I don't think they add any power or increase gas mileage but thats only my opinion, and like belly buttons everybody has one.
YMMV

Your opinion is well-based rikard.

They are and have been proven to be totally worthless on SEFI. If one simply considers where the fuel is injected, adding more air volume before that point will do nothing.

Spacers were originally intended to creat a swirl effect that would increase the air/fuel mix...in a carb it works (or TBI)...with direct injection, it never see's the fuel since it's placed directly into the engine
