Hello Folks,

My name is Adis, I'm new to the forum and also to the truck world. i live in Clackamas and just picked up a 99 F250 7.3 Diesel that needs some TLC. Looking forward to meeting some of you and hopefully learn more about the truck world :)

My current project/fix is to install a new bumper.

The truck came with a heavy duty industrial type bumper (see pic), so I wanted to install the original bumper and maybe put the industrial over the original.

My questions are:
1) The original bumper I got was $35 and the guy said it fits F250, but he never mentioned what year. I believe the bumper is from 2005 and mine is 1999, are these years compatible?

2) I'm not sure if I'm missing any hardware, brackets, adapters to mount this new bumper. As you see in the picture, the red circled mounts is all i got to mount the bumper on, but on the bumper there is nothing to attach it to? The only thing that I have on the bumper is 2 brackets, which don't really fit onto my circled housings.

3) The only way I can somewhat fit this on is to mount the original on top of the industrial and then stick it all in there. I will have to weld the Original to the industrial in order for it to work.

Hopefully I'm making sense, but again I'm just curious what all do I need to mount a bumper and if I'm missing some hardware necessary for easier mounting.

Thanks for all your help!

A.D.

Welcome! Good to see another 7.3 around!

I can't help much cause mine is a OBS, but a superduty guy will probably chime in.
