$750 Private Cash Offer...Can or can't use with...
 

Hey All -

So I finally found a truck (pick it up Tuesday!)....question on the private cash offer.

The truck I found is eligible for a $1000 aged inventory incentive. Sales manager at the dealership says right away that I can't use my private cash with that incentive. (long story but I had 750 private cash, and it had just expired...) I think the manager just said that to get me off his case about inquiring about getting it back.

Has anyone ran into a deal where the $750 Private cash offer could not be used?

A & X Plan....I'm pretty sure don't allow the private party offer. I had a 500 dollar (Farm Bureau) when I bought mine truck and the dealer said no (cause of X Plan).

So I simply said OK....thanks anyway...I'll take my down payment check back and me and my good credit will be on our way. :-wink

Long story short they dug into the dealer hold back and I got them down 750 dollars more after they wouldn't take 500 off the top! Now I'm 100% sure they still made lots of money off me and could have take 1500 bucks off, but thats how it works.

X plan allows it as I have in the past. Call ford cus service and ask them.

Yes, I'm using X plan. Well we ll see if the wife is on the computer tommorow. Mine ran out so I put her name in last Thursday, so we ll see.
