You're correct...it cannot be a 1967, or a 1966.

The serial number is 6901190L-95679A
Trim 01
Paint 1YY
Axle 3:50
GVW 3600

Welcome to FTE

This is a Canadian only VIN. Thru 1965, vehicles assembled in Canada have a unique VIN, Rating aka Warranty Plate and codes that are stamped on it.

1966/68 Canadian vehicles use the same VIN and Warranty Plate as US vehicles (have an 11 digit VIN), so...this Econoline cannot be any newer than 1965.

I can decode some of this, but I dunno what year it is, because this Econolines serial number (95679) only has 5 digits (most have 6), so it could be a 1961 thru 1964.

The '64/72 US Ford truck parts catalog decodes 1965 Canadian info, some of which applies to 1964, but...some does not.

6901190L-95679A

6 = I-6 Engine.

90 = Econoline Pickup.

11 = Econoline.

90" Wheelbase.

L = Left Hand Drive.

95679 = Numerical Sequence of Assembly (don't know what year it is based on the 5 digits).

A = Gross Vehicle Weight Rating: 3,600-5.600 lbs.

I cannot decode the trim, because 01 is not listed for 1965. The paint code (1YY: 1 = Interior Color / YY: Exterior Color) is not listed for 1965.

3.50-1 Rear Axle Ratio.

3,600 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

F11: F = Ford (if an M = Mercury) / 11 = Econoline.

Suggest you try mercurypickups.com

Wow! How do you find all this info?! Just bought a 65 Supervan myself and the plate reads:

E16JH713416
090 1 E160 389 A 13
3600 129 4000 74

I tried a site that would allegedly decode it for you but it was down.

Bill may not see your question way down here at the bottom of a 4-month-old post. Try starting a new post.

FYI, yours was built in July 1965.

A color of "1" is new to me. Maybe a special order.
