E10SH121316 / Model E100 E10SH153679 / Model E104 also , about the weight above the gas tank , how important is it ??? and where is the best place to try to get replacement parts? E10 = Econoline Pickup. S = 144 1V I-6. H = Lorain OH Assembly Plant. 121316 = 1961, assembled December 1960. E100 = Econoline Pickup, 3,600 lbs, Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. -------------------------------------------------------------- E10 = Econoline Pickup. S = 144 1V I-6. H = Lorain OH Assembly Plant. 153679 = 1961, assembled March 1961. E104 = Econoline Pickup, 4,350 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. -------------------------------------------------------------- Where is the VIN, Model code for the donor van? Look on the registration, see if the VIN you posted matches the donor van. Peeps replaced damaged left doors with used doors. 99% of the time, they didn't install the original Warranty Plate on the replaced door. inre to the weight above the gas tank, all I can tell you is the rear axle capacity is 2,300 lbs. You'll have to ask this question to someone that owns one. Many powertrain parts can be bought in autoparts stores, body parts may be difficult to find. Anything specific you want? |
Thanks 4 the info , but , the second # I gave u is from the van , the plate is on the drivers door frame , and its original , the entire van is org.
looking 4 the battery box lid , steering wheel , custom dash panel ?? those r some of the things that come 2 mind..........Thanks ...dd... |

The Model Code is E104 = E100 Pickup. Since these codes are pickup only, the Warranty Plate cannot be original for a van. |
Bill Well , the Van above the plate has in ink pen the #'s F 747 and above it the same #'s are stamped into the door post , it didn't come with a title , so who knows , the van is red , the color on the plate is J , on the pickup its S , it will all end up on the pickup , and it has a title , so Thank You for your help , ...dd...

Look at the cross braces on the back tailights. That is the easiest location to find the serial number stamped into the sheetmetal of these econolines. The 2nd location for sheetmetal stamped serial number is on the lip of the engine compartment on the right side. Here you have to remove the right panel and clean off the goop they use to seal the panel to the lip. There again is the serial number of the vehicle. You may find these will not match the tag on the door meaning the door has been switched.
I would post a pic of a brace with number here to help as a reference. But I'm unable to insert the pics here. |
