226 carb linkage

Does anyone have a picture of the carburetor linkage and spring on a 6 cyl flathead? Thanks, Brian

226 carbs

Here you go. Note that the car and truck carburetors are slightly different from one another, even though they are both Holley model 847-FS carbs. The choke lever on the truck carb has a ball and socket connection, but the car carb has a screw clamp connection. The one on the right came off of my truck, so some previous owner must have changed out the choke cable connection in the past as well.

The air horns are also different. The truck air horn has a ridged flange at the top and the car air horn does not.

Anyhow, I got all of this info from the Holley 847 repair manual I found at the old car manual project (Holley 847 Downdraft Service Manual / H847-19500001.jpg), so take a look.

Here's some closeups of the truck carburetor linkage:

Hope this helps.

Here's a couple of photos showing how the carb was hooked up before I pulled it:

Thank you badger-hound; the installed ones are what I was looking for. Mine is set up the same way, just always thought that maybe the spring should go back to the firewall but I guess not.
