650 vac sec Holley if its completely stock up to maybe a 750 vac sec if you do the bolt-ons.

I think a Edelbrock 650-750 AVS also would be a good choice, but I am not much of an edelbrock guy

If your 76 F250 is like mine than you have a Motorcraft 4350 Spreadbore carb. If you want to swap it over to a standard squarebore carb, you will need the proper adapter. From what I have found, the Trans-Dapt #2199 seems to be the ticket for the adapter.

I think on the carb side of things, you are about to get a bunch of opinions, so get ready. Don't get me wrong, I think all the opinions are great especially when they are backed by actual experience. There are quite a few carbs that will fit the bill, as well as just getting the 4350 rebuilt (if that's what you have).

I'm running a Edelbrock 1407 750 cfm. But I am also running d3ve heads Edelbrock performer intake, and a comp magnum cam. So far in the two months I've ran the carb I am completely happy with it.
