How do I kill the seatbelt chime?

The po of my 99 SD installed custom seats which I have taken out and replaced with 04 seats. The original wire harness is gone but the chime keeps going off. Can I kill this under the dash, I can't seem to locate the little speaker anywhere.:-arrgh

The speaker is in the gauge cluster which you cannot modify. The owner's manual gives you step by step directions on how to deactivate the "Belt Minder". What do you mean that the wire harness is not there? The PO cut the wires off?

Quoted for truth.

Well I now have 2004 front seats , the originals are long gone and all thats left is a wire sticking up out of the floor. Anything I've read on this says that you need the seat hooked up to disable the alarm.

Do you have the stock seat belts and the latches in the truck?

My 04' has 2 plugs, both of which look like they go towards the female belt latch beside the seat. There are two plugs, one plug is gray, one plug is yellow. Both the wires with the yellow and gray connectors come up from one wiring harness from underthe floor and plug into the corresponding wires at the bottom of the seat which look like they go to the seat belt latch as I said earlier.

To disable my seatbelt minder I unplugged the gray connector only. I'm not recommending you unplug the gray connector just saying what I did and what my dad did on our trucks. I didn't know about the the procedure at the time. I'm pretty sure the belt minder alarm is integrated with the door ajar alarm.
